This airport, which boasts the biggest loading volume in Latin America and the third highest rate of passenger traffic, has chosen TESA in order to fit out its facilities, after the complete refurbishment undertaken by two of is terminals.

The airport took its name in 1959 from the famous El Dorado legend, according to which European conquerors unsuccessfully searched for a ‘golden city’ during their expeditions across the American continent. The history of Bogotá, and of Colombia in general, is closely related to that legend, since near the city can be found the Laguna de Guatavita (the place where the rituals described in the legend took place).
