The SIM card in modern smartphones allows the user to integrate secure applications with NFC technology, a communication technology based on the secure exchange of information between a smartphone and another device. This provides a simple, convenient way to access multiple and diverse services such as proximity payments, transport, access control, etc. TESA’s Smartair access control is compatible with NFC. With the ASSA ABLOY Mobile Keys application, it is possible to remotely manage credentials and to grant or deny access to NFC-enabled smartphones. Credentials are stored in a protected zone of the smartphone’s memory, and may be revoked if the telephone is lost or stolen, as well as being immediately added in a new smartphone. This video is highly illustrative and shows how the system operates. http://youtube/PRSwtLGOnd8
