TESA ASSA ABLOY introduces young people to the world of work at its Career Guidance Day
Last updated: 15 April 2026
On 1 April, TESA ASSA ABLOY Irún opened its doors to the children and nieces and nephews of our employees to hold a Career Guidance Day, an initiative designed to give young people an insight into the world of business.
A total of 25 young people aged between 16 and 20 took part in this session, showing great interest in finding out first-hand how a company operates from the inside, what its various departments are, and what the people working in each of them do on a day-to-day basis.
The main objective of this meeting was:
- To give young people an insight into the working environment at a company such as TESA ASSA ABLOY.
- Show what a typical day is like for different types of professionals.
- Provide guidance on the various educational paths that can help them pursue the career that most inspires them in the future.
The goal was to give them a realistic, relatable, and inspiring perspective at a pivotal moment when they are beginning to make important decisions about what to study and how to shape their professional future.
An initiative that came from within
This Career Guidance Day was organized following a proposal by Javier Rodríguez, who submitted the idea through the “Propón tu Idea” program.
In his remarks, he emphasized that TESA ASSA ABLOY has a key asset: its people—highly qualified professionals with extensive experience across a wide range of functional areas. Sharing that knowledge with young people at a critical juncture in their academic and career planning presented a valuable opportunity for both them and the company.
An inspiring experience
In short, the event gave the young people a clear picture of what daily life is like in various professional fields and the educational paths that can help them pursue those careers.
The ultimate goal was for this experience to serve as inspiration and guidance as they choose their courses of study and build their professional futures.
