The Antigua Casa Buenavista is a 4-star boutique hotel located on Ronda Sant Antoni, in the heart of Barcelona. The origins of this wonderful hotel can be traced back to the Buenavista restaurant, which opened its doors in 1918 and for many years became a gathering place for intellectuals, artists, and local residents.
More than a century later, the new generation of the family that took over the business decided to transform the building into a hotel—but not just any hotel. Instead, they envisioned a hotel that preserves the modernist essence of the famous Eixample district with a contemporary vision that respects its surroundings.
This was a significant challenge that went beyond simply maintaining the modernist exterior: that “Made in Barcelona” essence had to permeate every corner. For this reason, the Antiga Casa Buenavista was built on three fundamental pillars: a 100% local identity in terms of design, suppliers, service, and atmosphere; a commitment to the neighborhood and the hotel’s integration into the area’s social, environmental, and commercial initiatives; and a warm, family-like atmosphere.
