Openings Studio™ enhances door and hardware specification, allowing you to effectively exchange information throughout the building lifecycle:

  • Connect with Autodesk® Revit® or Graphisoft® ARCHICAD®
  • Door schedules with detailed information
  • Data is available in multiple formats for fast integration into your own BIM environment and for easy collaboration between different stakeholders
  • Create parametric door families “on the fly” for libraries or projects
  • All product information: technical sheets,wiring diagrams,electrical information,budgets and EPD's
  • Provide and request door level information and changes
  • Frequent updates of new products and technologies for optimal functionality

Registering Openings Studio

To register and activate Openings Studio™, follow these steps:

  1. Launch Openings Studio™ from the installer or from the desktop shortcut. The installer may update when launched, this is normal.
  2. Once launched, select Register.
  3. Fill out all required fields and refer to the email received from your Openings Studio™ consultant for the activation code. Submit registration.
  4. Upon completion of registration, enter the e-mail and password created during the registration process, then select Login. 

You are now up and running on Openings Studio™.

The minimum performance specification to run Openings Studio™ is:

Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 64-bit:
Enterprise, Ultimate, Professional, or Home Premium

Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit:
Enterprise, Pro, or Windows 8.1

Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit:
Enterprise, or Pro
CPU Type Multi-Core Intel Xeon, or procesador i-Series AMD equivalent with SSE2 technology. Highest affordable CPU speed rating recommended.

Installing Openings Studio

Openings Studio™ is provided as a .exe installer file. 

Follow these steps to install the plugin:

1) Close all instances of Revit.

2) Unzip the file and double click on the .exe installer

3) Select Run.

4) Follow the prompts in the Openings Studio Setup Wizard and click Next.

5) Select a new destination directory or leave the recommended new directory and click Next.

6) Deselect versions of Revit where a plugin is not required, then click Next.

7) Create start menu folder. Rename folder or leave default name. The uninstaller will also be located in this folder. Then click Next.

8) Wait for the installer to complete. This usually only takes a few minutes. If a version of Revit was selected earlier but does not exist on the workstration, an error prompt will appear. This can be ignored. If other errors are encountered, please contact your ASSA ABLOY consultant.

9) A prompt to suggest the creation of a desktop shortcut appears. Select the option and click Next.

10) Select Finish to exit the installer and continue to registration.
